PLAY ACHIEVEMENTS
As a professional I have played in events on the New Zealand, Canadian, South American, Hogan and Nike Tours. I have won 12 PGA section pro-ams, competed on 9 Montana Cup teams, and won the following events:
2004 - Rocky Mountain Section Top Flight Ben Hogan Pro-Pro Shoot Out (Senior Division)

WORK HISTORY
Head Golf Professional, Cottonwood Hills Golf Course, Bozeman, Montana -- January 1986 to 2017
Responsibilities: Hire, train, and pay golf shop employees, report daily books and deposits, buy and sell golf merchandise, provide rental equipment, manage men's, women's, and junior leagues. Operate all club events, give lessons, and play in tournaments.
Accomplishments: Consulted with owners during planning stages prior to construction. Set up operations. Golf Course went from 9 to 27 holes. Reached maximum attendance of 144 (plus additional on wait-lists) at both men's and women's leagues.
Territorial Sales Representative, Cleveland Golf -- January 1992 to January 1997
Responsibilities: Covered Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, selling merchandise to golf shops. Attended the PGA merchandise show and organized demo days.
Accomplishments: While remaining the Head Golf Professional at Cottonwood Hills Golf Course, I served as a sales representative in the golf equipment industry.
Head Golf Professional, Madison Meadows Golf Course, Ennis, Montana -- February 1983 to November 1984
Responsibilities: Operated pro shop, set up men’s, women’s and junior golf associations.
Accomplishments: Managed the club through its first years of operation.
Golf Course Developer. General Partner in development of a Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course -- January 1981 to January 1985
Responsibilities: Duties included generating a feasibility study, applying for state land permits, and providing a stock offering.
Accomplishments: Worked with a major architect and land development company.
General Manager, Crystal Lakes Resort, Fortine, Montana -- January 1978 to October 1980
Responsibilities: Managed and was part owner of a 9 hole golf course, motel, restaurant, lounge, airplane runway, tennis courts, swimming pool, and cross country ski area during the winter season. As a general partner, I helped in the development of single family home sites and condominiums.
Accomplishments: Arnold Palmer became a partner for the use of his name and design work.
Teaching Professional, Sunland Village Golf Course, Mesa, AZ -- October 1976 to March 1977
Responsibilities: Directed lessons 30 to 40 hours per week.
Accomplishments: Became an accomplished teacher and player.
First Assistant Gold Professional , Eagle Vail Golf Course, Vail Colorado -- March 1975 to October 1975
Responsibilities: Managed rental cars and driving range. Directed outings and events.
Accomplishments: Worked as First Assistant in the pro shop.
Assistant Golf Professional, Vail Golf Course, Vail Colorado -- March 1974 to October 1974
Responsibilities: Picked the range and maintained 65 golf cars.
Accomplishments: Worked with LPGA teaching professional Pat Lange and became a PGA Apprentice.
Assistant Golf Professional, Dreamland Villa Golf Course, Mesa, Arizona -- November 1973 to March 1975
Responsibilities: While attending the University of Montana, I fulfilled my practicum in recreation management as an assistant in the pro shop.
Accomplishments: Became Head Golf Professional the winter of 1975.
Head Golf Professional, Signal Point Golf Course, Fort Benton, Montana -- 1968 to 1977
Responsibilities: Began as a laborer building the course, worked as a greens keeper, became Head Golf Professional in 1976. Developed the club’s first major golf events.
Accomplishments: Became a PGA member in 1978.
